The Seattle Design Festival (SDF) is excited to announce that we have been awarded a Grant for Arts Project from the National Endowment of the Arts.
Grants for Arts Projects is the National Endowment for the Arts’ principal grants program for organizations based in the United States, which supports arts projects that use the arts to unite and heal in response to current events; celebrate our creativity and cultural heritage; invite mutual respect for differing beliefs and values; and enrich humanity.
At its heart, SDF is a collaborative effort that engages community organizations, neighborhoods and non-profits not traditionally involved with design thinking shedding light on new ways of seeing and understanding design and architecture. With this grant, the Seattle Design Festival will offer continue to offer the Seattle community a platform to celebrate design, and empower action through collaborative design.
