We were so excited to see over 300 designers respond to the SDF 2024 Call for Proposals!
These designers have joined together to create just over 60 design teams, each exploring a unique ‘what if’ question to unleash design thinkers across our community. These teams represent various design fields, from architecture and urban planning to dance and AR/VR.
How do proposals become Festival events?
The Festival planning team has already begun the process of reviewing the amazing proposals our community has brought forward. They will be looking for proposals that directly relate to the annual theme and demonstrate alignment with Festival goals, while also evaluating the quality and feasibility of each proposal. Notification of Festival acceptance, along with feedback from the planning team, will be sent to SDF 2024 Partners in early June.
As part of this review process, the Festival planning team will also be awarding funding support. This year, we are particularly focused on prioritizing first-time partners and design teams that have demonstrated a strong alignment with the Festival’s goals. Our aim is to nurture new talent and ensure that the Festival remains a vibrant, forward-thinking platform for all.
