  • This pop experience is an introduction to circular design. Visitors will have an opportunity to redesign an everyday object using sustainable design principles, and hang their designs on a collective installation at the end.

Think about all of the products you own. Where did the materials come from, how were they made and where will they end up after you use? Designing for the entire product life cycle (before-during-and after consumer use) is a critical foundation to creating products that minimize waste.

In this pop-up experience you will be introduced to circular design principles, and will use them to recreate some of your most-loved and most-used products, such as a toothbrush, shampoo, or running shoe (your choice!). How might you redesign one of these objects in a way that supports natural eco-systems and communities?

Visitors will also learn the relationship between circular products and the design of larger systems needed to develop them (e.g., circular business models, circular business operations, circular supply chains).
