STOP! Pause, engage your senses, and truly observe the beauty that surrounds you. Take a moment to rekindle your curiosity about your city from a fresh perspective, and we mean – truly see.
βWHAT is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare?…β
The largest city in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, Seattle strikes a good balance with its eclectic neighborhoods set in contrast against the beautiful natural scenery everywhere. There is so much to see, breathe, touch, feel, and live!
Inspired by the poignant poem “Leisure” by William Henry Davies, the installation invites you to step out of your routine, break the mundane and peep through frames scattered around the installation ground. The twisted frames are mere gestures to prompt you to look beyond, to explore the layers of meaning embedded in our environment, and to reimagine our connection with the world that surrounds us. Come see, and show it to your loved ones! Show it to the world around you π
Amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, we often overlook the remarkable beauty that resides just beyond our peripheral vision. We want to encourage you to nurture curiosity, find fascination in the familiar, and embrace a renewed appreciation for the exquisite views that grace our Seattle.
β…A poor life this if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare.β
