For this year’s Design Festival theme we have taken inspiration from sculptor Alexander Calder who was best known for his innovative mobiles. While visually similar, our piece three dimensionally depicts images that represent some of our most common life choices. Does eating dessert at night get balanced out by exercise the next day? Will hours of screentime during the week be washed away with a weekend hike? Like Calder’s mobiles, in which elements were not in simple opposition to one another, our life choices are not always a zero-sum game.
