“Evolution of Instinct – Our Modern Wilderness” is a vibrant vinyl-powered augmented reality mural on 3rd Avenue supported by revival efforts of Downtown Seattle Association.
Local illustrator Christoph Sagemuller in collaboration with creative technologist Quin Kennedybring a digital painting to life using Augmented Reality to explore this year’s theme: The New Nature. Passerbys can use their mobile device to experience the parallels between our primal origins and the new modern jungle we’ve built for ourselves. Despite the countless advancements and differences between then and now, we’ve remained true to our core. Our environment has changed yet we have not; for better or worse. In this ever-changing world, our instincts and compassion are our only constants.
*Artists will be on site August 25th, between 5-8pm, to walk viewers through experience
FUTURE ARTS PRESENTS: AUGMENT Seattle 2022 is a cultural program & showcase that activates various neighborhoods throughout the summer with inclusive, accessible programming bending and shifting realities in the streets of Seattle.
