To use a camera is a curious thing. Part of the idea is that we capture moments and represent reality as it is and as we see it. Yet somehow the images always reflect something different than what we see or feel in those moments we are trying to capture. Is face to face the only true way to see one another? Walk into this structure or sit at its entrance – Face to Face takes the idea of the camera bellows and creates an experience of light, texture, and sculpture to frame a moment of face to face interaction between viewers. There is no film or recording— just the time spent with another.
