Come build a collaborative city – use found materials to create the streetscape you want to see. Build houses, parks, and public places, and watch the city grow!
An abstract urban landscape invites people to rummage through an assortment of objects and create their own dream city. People’s curiosity is provoked by the landscape surface itself as well as the randomness of the objects. The Environmental Works team is curious about what the community envisions for their city and are providing a platform with minimal boundaries for participants to dream, create and respond to their own needs and wants for their built environment. Sand Box City creates a mutual reciprocal dialogue between the community as they engage their curiosity responding to prompts and feeds into environmental works curiosity about the community’s visions of their city.
