The design process has always relied on illustration to visualize concepts ahead of the design’s physical creation, but recent technologies have allowed creators to visualize their designs in a way that they’ve never been able to before. Increasingly sophisticated virtual reality technology has opened the door for a new kind of design model, one that allows for an unprecedented level of interaction and customization. This panel will feature four design professionals from unique industries – architecture, construction, software, and hardware – discussing how VR technology has improved their individual design processes and how this increasingly-accessible technology will affect their various industries going forward.
