Explore the organic structure of the city and the network of nodes that drive mobility within it, as we crowdsource a map of Seattle’s neighborhood centers through the eyes of those that live there. We are researching Seattle’s existing small-scale neighborhood centers to understand the current state of the city’s network of neighborhoods through the lens of the 15 Minute City planning concept.

We have mapped many of these neighborhood centers during the pandemic, biking hundreds of miles across all corners of the city over the past year, analyzing through our own eyes (and unconscious biases). Now, we are interested to test our analysis by asking the community to what places are they drawn? Where is your neighborhood center? Where do you connect to “place”? Where has the Seattle community spent time during the pandemic and where is the community now emerging?
