Hudson L-House (2025) by Xavier Wang is a short film about the design and construction of the L-House by Steven Holl Architects. The film includes client and owner Mark McDonald in conversation with architects Steven Holl and Dimitra Tsachrelia Holl, discussing his house in Hudson, NY—conceived both as a live/workspace and as a place open to the community.

The house challenges conventional notions of the nuclear family and offers inspiration for new ways of living and being within a home. The film traces a continuum between paper and place, showing how ideas incubated in Rhinebeck (Holl’s family home and Archive site) reverberate through the physical landscape of the Hudson Valley.
