IN COMMON

August 15 - 16 | 10am-7pm

IN[COMMON] is a modular public installation exploring the relationship between contemporary art, furniture design, and everyday interaction. Developed by Artistry Edge × Sophie Wei, the project proposes a shared environment where exhibition space becomes social space, and where public engagement emerges through spatial experience.

Positioned between function and sculpture, the installation brings together emerging artistic practices, furniture elements, and suspended visual interventions within a temporary architectural framework. Through layered materials, permeability, and open circulation, IN[COMMON] invites visitors to move through a common space shaped by observation, gathering, and exchange. The project is further supported by designers participating in the 1Merge program, whose ongoing creative practices contribute to the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of the installation.

Rather than presenting art as a fixed or isolated encounter, IN[COMMON] reimagines public space as a site of coexistence—where still images, inhabitable forms, and collective presence intersect, creating new possibilities for dialogue, pause, and community participation.
