Get Involved with SDF in the New Year –

2025, Seattle Design Festival’s 15th year, was a true time of transition and celebration, welcoming a refreshed strategic plan, a new homebase at Smith Tower, and a continued commitment to unleashing the design thinker in everyone, with 7,400+ SDF’25 attendees. The days are short, but August will be here before we know it! We’re excited to reconnect with our community in the leadup to the Festival.

What’s to come:

• Now – January: Apply to be a Planning Team Member or Chair! If you’d like to help shape SDF 2026, now’s the time to lend your expertise.
• February: Vote for the theme! Weigh-in and shape the conversation for SDF 2026. We’ll be sharing two themes for a public vote in the new year.
• April-May: Connect and feel inspired at Design Mixers before submitting your ideas during the Call for Proposals.
• June: Get excited for the Festival! The lineup launches, where you can explore the full calendar of events.
• July: Join us for the SDF Volunteer + Partner Social to meet fellow designers, volunteers, and grab your own screen-printed SDF 2026 t-shirt.
• August: Immerse yourself in six days of creativity and connection at the Block Party, Design Mixers, and Closing Party.
