Support SDF this #GivingTuesday

#GivingTuesday is Tomorrow! Why does your Gift Matter?
The Seattle Design Festival (SDF) is the region’s largest public design event celebrating and exploring all the ways design improves the quality of our lives. One of the key tenets of our work is to engage with under-invested communities empowering them to leverage design and our vision that it will lead toward a culture that fosters equity and resilience, allowing all to thrive.
In 2021, SDF funding was awarded to 13 recipients. One such awardee was Coyote Central – a Seattle-based non-profit that sparks creativity in young people, putting tools in their hands to build skills and forge their futures. The first of their two installations provided SDF attendees with an opportunity to use professional woodworking tools (hammers, drills, screws, clamps, wood-burning tools) in the building of a community sculpture. The second involved interactive printmaking, where attendees explored monotypes and block prints to create custom-made greeting cards, stamps, and posters!
Please consider supporting Seattle Design Festival this Giving Tuesday. Our goal is to raise $5,000. A gift in whatever amount that is meaningful to you promotes inclusive co-design practices. They are essential to shaping an equitable Seattle.
