Presented by:

  • Seattle Office of Planning & Community Development

  • Come make art! OCPD leads an Cyanotype Word Art Activity inspired by Office-to-Residential Conversion Visions for Seattle Downtown.

Cyanotype is a 170-year-old photographic printing process that produces prints in a distinctive dark greenish-blue.

Curious about what happens when the contents of Bottle A are mixed with the contents of Bottle B, then applied to paper, and exposed to the sun? Explore innovative proposals submitted to the City’s Call-for-Ideas: Office-to-Residential Conversion Visions for Seattle Downtown through a pop-up Cyanotype Word Art activity. Imagine our downtown neighborhoods filled to the brim with live, work, and playful activities. What do you and your community need to thrive downtown? What could a future downtown Seattle look like?

While waiting for the sun’s UV rays to expose your print, learn about the forthcoming One Seattle Comprehensive Plan: Public Review Draft and how to submit feedback.

*Dry, pre-coated cyanotype paper is available while supplies last. No wet chemicals will be used on site.
