A Story About Feedback

August 16 - 17 | All Day

This exhibition began with a simple, powerful question: What happens when neighbors speak—and the city listens? What you’ll find is not just diagrams. It’s a collection of stories—intimate reflections from families of varied backgrounds, living side by side in one neighborhood; their experiences, frustrations, hopes, and insights form the heart of the stories. We pair these personal narratives with graphic illustrations, analysis, and thoughtful engineering solutions—not to present answers, but to map out the real terrain of giving feedback, and co-creating change with city agencies and the environment we all share. This is part case study, part memoir, part community gathering. Our goal is to spark recognition, empathy, and dialogue. We hope visitors—especially homeowners and longtime residents—will see themselves in these stories and feel invited to share their own. Every contribution adds a new voice to a larger conversation about how we live, build, and care for our neighborhoods together here in the city we call home, Seattle.
