Affirmative Care is a playful, tactile installation made of soft, inflatable “bubbles” that invite people to touch, hug, and interact with them. Each bubble contains touch-sensitive film, LEDs, and a speaker, and is supported by a lightweight wood geodesic frame that appears to float above the ground. When embraced, each bubble emits a soft glow and plays a recorded positive affirmation, creating a multisensory experience that celebrates inclusivity, connection, and positive feedback. Designed for accessibility, the lower bubbles allow for easy engagement by toddlers, smaller children, and individuals with mobility or accessibility needs, while the higher bubbles are within reach of older children and adults.
