The Seattle Design Festival is a platform for bold design conversations. We believe that design is for everyone and that inclusive co-design practices are essential to shaping an equitable Seattle. We are multidisciplinary, socially engaged and civic minded.
Mapping Belonging: Pedestrian Access Walkabout
August 16 | 2pm-6pm
- Lake Union Park (Pop-Up Zone)
- View on Map
What is it like to move through your neighborhood, and what would make it better? Join the Taskar Center for Accessible Technology for an interactive walkabout where we map real-time stories of sidewalks and access. Play sidewalk-themed games, explore our live mapping tools, and share your own insights about what makes a street feel walkable, welcoming, and yours. Your voice and your steps help shape the future of mobility in Washington and beyond, and they will also be instantly shown on the digital display at the installation booth on festival grounds.
