Your gift powers design for all. As a volunteer-powered 501c(3) nonprofit, we rely on the generous giving of our supporters to bring free and affordable programs to 10,000+ people citywide every year.
Pick up the phone and connect with a neighbor.
As a temporary agent of one of six fictional civic departments, you’ll receive printed prompts designed to spark strange, funny, and unexpectedly revealing conversations about Seattle life. Both participants interview one another while recording responses using unconventional tools like stamps, stickers, and clay instead of pens or pencils.
Over the course of the Festival, these interactions accumulate into a growing public archive of missed connections, polite negotiations, shared absurdities, and social traces. No experience or artistic skill is required. Just curiosity and a willingness to participate.
