IN [BETWEEN]: A Public Archive of Becoming

August 15 - 16 | 10am-7pm

IN[BETWEEN]: A Public Archive of Becoming invites visitors into a quiet, reflective pavilion made of light wood framing, translucent paper, twine, planter-box anchors, and polycarbonate roof panels. Change happens every day. We see it in our daily commutes, in our neighborhoods and cities, and in places across the world we may never visit. Yet, when we think about change, we often look outward first. We notice how the world is changing, but not always how we are changing with it.

Inside IN[BETWEEN], visitors are invited to pause, write, read, and reflect. Handwritten notes on translucent paper become part of the installation, gradually forming a public archive of questions, memories, releases, and hopes. Over time, the pavilion shifts from a simple structure into a layered record of inner change. Festival-goers can safely engage by walking around or through the open pavilion, reading reflections, writing their own response, or simply pausing inside the space. The installation does not require electricity or technology. It is open on all sides, visually transparent, and designed for gentle, low-barrier participation.

What identities, values, or norms have we outgrown? While the world changes in front of us, are we changing too? What versions of our lives do we need to let go of?
