Created from upcycled sailcloth sourced from local Seattle sail lofts, It Takes Two is an interactive installation that transforms a familiar regional material into four inflatable seating installations designed for one, two, three, and four participants.

Each inflatable responds directly to the movements of its occupants: sitting, reclining, shifting weight, or leaning causes the forms to subtly deform and rebalance in real time. Through these shared physical interactions, It Takes Two offers a playful and tangible exploration of instability, negotiation, compromise, and collective consequence that reflects on the Seattle Design Festival theme, IN[FLUX].
