LocalLoop Seattle: Translating Community Voices into Urban Design
August 16 | 1:30pm-2pm
- Lake Union Park (Mainstage)

How can community voices become real design decisions? LocalLoop Seattle is a participatory workshop and live demo exploring how local knowledge, lived experience, and public-space needs can be translated into urban design. Participants will join a guided demonstration of LocalLoop, a platform that connects community feedback, mapping, and design decision-making. Together, we will ask what kinds of public spaces Seattle needs in a time of change. Through stories, visual inputs, and collaborative reflection, participants will see how everyday experiences can become design guidelines and future public-space possibilities. No design or technology background is required. This session is for anyone interested in community engagement, public space, urban design, civic technology, and more inclusive ways of shaping the city.
