Presented by:

  • Seattle Architecture Foundation

  • After a year of separation, how do we recreate/encourage human interaction through design?

Youth and families will contribute to maps of greater Seattle and South Lake Union Park in response to this question. Contributions can range from small cutouts, drawings, to handmade models and will illustrate participants’ re-imagining of spaces for community gathering. Design and rethink public spaces and activities to build your best Seattle. All materials will be provided. Just bring your imagination!

Over the course of two hours, a community mural will emerge depicting a new vision of Seattle. Your artwork will then go on display as part of the Seattle Architecture Foundation exhibit, Breathe, where it will continue to engage the design community and public.

This experience will take place in the SDF Block Party Pop-Up Zone!

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and donors, the Seattle Design Festival was able to fund this partner, to engage youth in the design process, leverage co-design, and improve the community engagement process,  inspiring action with lasting impact.
