Thank you for joining the 2020 Seattle Design Festival!
Aug
24

Every year, the Seattle Design Festival brings together designers, community members, experts, city officials, and business leaders to celebrate and explore how design improves the quality of our lives and our community. 2020 challenged us to reimagine this celebration during a time of physical distancing. From August 15 – 23, the Seattle Design Festival brought together groups, organizations, and individuals from our region and across the globe to explore the relevance of design, and its ability to address our past, present, and future. We saw our partners address evolving challenges in real-time, dealing with shifting time frames, physical distancing, and new virtual landscapes. The Seattle Design Festival is truly a community-powered effort, so thank you to everyone who attended, partnered, volunteered, and otherwise joined us in making the 2020 Seattle Design Festival a resounding success!

Worried you missed out on some of these great programs?

Many of our 2020 Partners are leveraging the shift to a virtual landscape and making their programs available beyond the Festival. Screen a film from the Northwest Film Forum from the comfort of you own home with A Poetics of Living: Biomimetic Blueprints (available through August 30). Continue your exploration of missing middle housing with AIA Seattle’s Housing Task Force through Its About Time We House Everyone.
